Paladar Tequila Reposado - Finished in Tempranillo
About Our Paladar Tequila Reposado – Toasted Series
From the last of the independent founding families of tequila, Paladar Tequila is a homage to the traditions of Mexico. We harvest 7-year Blue Weber agave from our own fields, slow-cooked in brick ovens and fermented in open-air pine boxes using wild and proprietary yeast. Each batch is twice distilled in a copper and stainless steel pot blend, building a foundation of clarity, structure, and agave depth.
The Paladar Toasted Series Reposado is aged in toasted oak barrels, where controlled heat treatment of the wood enhances texture and complexity without overpowering the spirit. This reposado expression balances bright agave character with layered notes of warm spice, gentle smoke, and soft vanilla derived from the toasted oak. Time in wood brings harmony and roundness, while careful aging preserves the tequila’s freshness and vibrancy. Each bottle is finished by hand and dipped in the volcanic soil of our agave fields.
About the Toasted Series
The Toasted Series explores how varying levels of oak toasting influence tequila during reposado aging. Toasting activates natural compounds within the wood, introducing nuanced aromatics and depth while maintaining restraint. The result is a series of reposado tequilas that sit at the intersection of tradition and experimentation—expressive, balanced, and intentionally crafted.
