Paladar Tequila Reposado - Finished in Tempranillo
About Our Paladar Tequila Reposado – Tempranillo Cask
From the last of the independent founding families of tequila, Paladar Tequila is a homage to the traditions of Mexico. We harvest 7-year Blue Weber agave from our own fields, slow-cooked in brick ovens and fermented in open-air pine boxes using wild and proprietary yeast. Each batch is twice distilled in a copper and stainless steel pot blend, creating a tequila with clarity, structure, and expressive agave character.
This Reposado expression is first rested in oak, then finished in Tempranillo wine casks. The wine-seasoned barrels introduce layers of soft fruit, subtle tannin, and gentle spice, adding dimension without overshadowing the agave. The result is a balanced reposado that bridges tequila and wine worlds—round, nuanced, and quietly complex. Each bottle is finished by hand and dipped in the volcanic soil of our agave fields.
About Tempranillo Casks
Tempranillo is one of Spain’s most celebrated red wine grapes, known for producing wines with notes of red fruit, earth, leather, and spice. When used as finishing casks for tequila, Tempranillo barrels lend subtle fruit tones, refined structure, and a soft dryness that complements reposado aging while preserving agave at the core.
